How to solicit research participants in the social sciences

CALL FOR RESEARCH PARTICIPANTS

Pending IRB approval

A research study will be conducted by the Department of Psychology that will test whether there is a correlation between intelligence and partner-assessed sexual performance. Participants need to be women, age 18-59, currently in good health and willing to take both a general knowledge exam and Stanford-Binet IQ test. Participants must also be willing to take a breathalyzer test prior to and immediately following intercourse, which will consist of the missionary and reverse cowgirl positions.

The anticipated time commitment will be one hour for each test, five minutes for each breathalyzer test, and three minutes for intercourse, for a total of two hours, thirteen minutes.

Participants will be compensated with a free movie ticket and a $20 gift card to Sizzler. Transportation to and from the research center will not be provided; however, it will be reimbursed to the 2011 mileage report schedule. (Please consult the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs for more details.)

This study is funded by the National Science Foundation (#6900690).
